  1. Watching from Massachusetts, I love your kitties so much! Russell is so smart! How lucky that he wanted to learn the buttons.
Congratulations on getting married! May you have a Long loving life together!! 🎉🎉

  2. Russel seems more thinner, leaner, and more muscular than Teen but I recall you saying they are littermates; is it just the haircuts or does he have an exercise wheel somewhere he uses that Teen doesn't?

  3. Congratulations on your marriage 💕

I had a kitty named Cinderella. Adopted her at 13 years. She lived to be over 20 yo. She was diagnosed late in life with diabetes.

She was on LANTUS. It is expensive; I don't trust the insulin specifically for dogs/cats. It's not as reliable as to consistent lasting time.

I had another kitty diagnosed and tried the cat/dog insulin. Not a fan at all…….

My Cinderella did well on LANTUS and the cost is worth the peace of mind. I did not test her glucose levels. I do recommend. Only had a few scary situations when the blood sugar flipped low. You will know if this happens, the cat will be lethargic and unable to move. Should this occur rush to ER.

Hopefully Winnie will be feeling better with her insulin. 🐾💖

  4. PLEASE provide a link to the bubble solution that us use for your cats. I haven't been able to find one online that doesn't have additives. And I'm sure the kind they see for human use is bad for cats.

  5. My girl Tess was recently diagnosed with diabetes and my veterinarian did a "glucose curve" to make sure we will be giving her the right amount of insulin. She had to stay at the vet for the afternoon and they tested her to see how much insulin it would take. They put her on Purina ProPlan DM wet and crunchy food which could be a little bit of a challenge feeding her because I have multiple cats in the house. Fortunately she loves the food and I keep her food in the bathroom and when she is hungry she goes to the bathroom door and meows. My girl is only 7 lbs. so it's not a matter of her needing to lose weight. She actually needs to gain some weight. I need to give her 5 units of insulin 2 times a day. Once in the morning and once at night. I think it works best if you make sure to give the insulin exactly 12 hours apart. I've given cats Subq fluids many times so it wasn't a problem for me to learn to give her injections. The main thing is to make sure you're giving it to her just underneath the skin and not in the muscle. Tess wiggles around when I try to give it to her but she's getting better at it now. I just hold her in my arms close to my chest and tell her "Tess insulin now" then I quickly give it to her and say "Tess insulin all done". 😂 She's an excellent patient and Winnie will be too once she gets used to the routine because we all know cats are creatures of habit. Now that Tess is getting used to it, it's much easier and quicker to do. Best of luck pretty Winn ❤🐾💙
