  1. "“In strict medical terms marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume. For example, eating 10 raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death. Marijuana in its natural form is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man."

    – Francis Young (DEA Administrative Law Judge – 1988])

"Penalties against possession of a drug should not be more damaging to an individual than the use of the drug itself; and where they are, they should be changed. Nowhere is this more clear than in the laws against possession of marijuana in private for personal use…”

    – Jimmy Carter (U.S.President)

“Congress should definitely consider decriminalizing possession of marijuana… We should concentrate on prosecuting the rapists and burglars who are a menace to society.”

    – Dan Quayle (U.S. Representative & Vice President)

"Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could."

“The anti-marijuana campaign is a cancerous tissue of lies, undermining law enforcement, aggravating the drug problem, depriving the sick of needed help and suckering well intentioned conservatives and countless frightened parents.”

    – William F. Buckley Jr. (American conservative author & commentator)

"The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world."

    – Dr. Carl Sagan (American Cosmologist, Astrobilologist, author & science communicator)

“You bet I did -— and I enjoyed it.” ….when asked if he had ever smoked marijuana.

    – Michael Bloomberg (New York City Mayor)

"Studies have consistently failed to establish the existence of a link between the harshness of a country’s drug laws and its levels of drug use."

    – Kofi Annan (U.N. Secretary General)

"Pot is a better drug than alcohol. I'll prove it to you. You're at a ball game or a concert, and someone's really violent and aggressive and obnoxious, are they drunk or are they smoking pot?"

“Why is pot against the law? It wouldn't be because anyone can grow it, and therefore you can't make a profit off it, would it?”

“…It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn’t the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit … unnatural?”

-Bill Hicks (Satirist, Social Critic, Stand-Up Comedian)

"If the words "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" don't include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the Declaration of Independence isn't worth the hemp it was written on."

    – Terence McKenna (American ethnobotanist, author, advocate for responsible use of natural psychedelic plants)

  2. Legalize cannabis federally within each and every state. This way, irrational prohibitionist politicians can't obstruct and prevent legalization against the will of the vast majority of Americans whom support full federal cannabis legalization nationwide. Treat cannabis exactly like we treat far more dangerous and deadly yet perfectly legal alcohol. Legal in all states.

  3. The old man dinosaur that compared using MJ to robbing people, something that actually hurts people LOL. What a stupid man. I remember these types running commercials in the 70's and 80's stating "reefer madness" and how black people will use it and rape white women.

  4. Awesome! As the bill moves forward, Republicans claim that the bill is flawed and "not ready". They don't dispute that legal cannabis is the way things are heading nationally. They will ALWAYS claim that the law itself is the problem, not the intent of the law. They don't want to alienate the large percentage of their constituency that likes to fire-up a spliff every now and then.

  5. ANYONE WHO SAYS POT IS MEDICINE IS LYING. THE PRO POT PEOPLE HAVE CONSPIRED TO MAKE IT OUT TO BE MEDICINE JUST TO GET STUPID POLITICIANS TO MAKE IT LEGAL. STILL ILLEGAL UNDER FEDERAL LAW!!

  6. We’ll be the 23rd state to legalize recreational cannabis, and in the year of ‘23. How fitting!

The stars have finally been aligned for our state. It’s about time!!!

  7. I live in TN. These hillbillies will be the last state to legalize. It's the one and only things I agree with the vile evil Democrats on.

  8. So happy for you. Now your cops have more time to bust those thieves he mentioned and drunks with guns. Now you'll have less drunk drivers and way lower perscription drug use, abuse! Welcome to a better future where jails are filled with dangerous people and relief ffrom pain can be found without addiction and withdrawal risks!!!🎈😇🎈

  9. I've been a cannabis user since the age of 15, daily since 16 (I'm 30). Never went on to harder stuff or felt the compulsion to. Finished with honors from my tech high school where I studied to be a professional chef, got a 3.7 gpa on my college degree, I play several instruments, maintain a clean house and have a full-time job, take care of two cats and a vegetable garden, and have a great and loving relationship. Without cannabis my joints scream at me from 13 years in restaurants and I get so anxious I grind my teeth. The anxiety persisted throughout childhood til I found cannabis. It's medicine y'all!

  10. You watch, just like Colorado this state will become a broken healthcare state. Smh. There needs to be laws of protection for children to not have to breathe it or neighbors. This is a big problem.

  11. I don't know how they did this when the guy said that you could get two to three joints out of 2 oz you know how much 2 oz of weed is you can get about two hundred joints out of 2 oz of weed the idiot didn't know what he was talking about he should have said two or three joints out of 2 g

  12. "I'm not sure exactly what it is or what it does, but it sounds bad and therefor should be banned." -Republicans talking about weed and Democrats talking about guns.

  13. Just what Minnesota needs; more impaired drivers that will only get a slap on the hand when they get their 30th OUI! The science and addiction medicine docs all say that this is a gateway drug. I’ve seen it’s destructive nature first hand when my sister had her kids taken away because she couldn’t take care of them due to being high all the time. There’s a reason why the term pothead is used in a negative way!
