At 12:20 a.m. on April 6, Joshua Stringfellow, 27, of Lock Haven, was stopped after state police observed his 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 crossing the center and fog lanes, almost striking a median, and speeding in excess of 60 mph in a posted 55 mph zone, on South Route 220 near the intersection with Browns Lane in Woodward Township.

Police detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, and noted that Stringfellow had glassy, bloody shot eyes, and slurred speech, according to court documents.

Stringfellow also stated that he had consumed alcohol prior to driving, an affidavit said.

He failed a field sobriety test, and had a BAC of .15.

Stringfellow was charged with DUI, waived his preliminary hearing, and was released on $15,000 bail.

In another case, at 11 p.m. on May 11, Bayle Stradley, 28, of 6459 Lycoming Creek Road, Cogan Station, was stopped by Lycoming Regional Police in the 400 block of Main Street in Jersey Shore, after her vehicle was observed weaving in its lane, and crossing the center and fog lanes.

Stradley was unsteady on her feet, and had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, police allege.

She had an odor of alcohol on her breath, and admitted to having drank earlier that evening, according to court documents.

Stradley failed a field sobriety test, and had a BAC of .23.

She was charged with DUI, two summary offenses, and released.

In another case, 3:45 p.m. on May 31, Jeffrey Bower, 52, of 700 Bucknell St., Jersey Shore, was stopped by state police after they observed Bower making suspicious movements inside his 2008 Chevrolet Impala, and following too closely to the vehicle in front of him on South Route 220 near Martins Road in Piatt Township.

Bower had bloodshot eyes, and acted nervous during questioning, police said. Police also detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Bower admitted to having smoked marijuana, and told police there was marijuana in the vehicle, despite not having a medical marijuana card, an affidavit states.

During a consensual search of Bower’s vehicle, police removed a Stanley 3/8 socket and a clear container, both containing marijuana, and Bower admitted to trying to hide the socket when he saw the approaching patrol car.

Bower failed a field sobriety test, and refused lab tests, stating that he knew he would fail due to his frequent marijuana usage.

He was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, a summary charge, and released.
