  1. Well, here's my totally unscientific results of using 2 TBS of olive oil every other day. Over a period of 3 months my HDL went from 42 to 53. My HDL to LDL ratio also decreased, a very good thing. But the big surprise was my blood pressure has slowly decreased. I was taking 20 mgs of Lisinopril to manage my blood pressure, now I am taking 10 mgs. I'm seriously considering cutting those pills in half because my at rest BP is around 105/66. Oh, did I mention I'm 69 and obese?

  2. California olive ranch led a fight to get California olive oils certified and tested real. Several years back when the New Yorker article shook up the industry revealing that most "Italian" olive oils were either cut, or fake or blended from several countries. Some of this gangster oil even was machine lube grade canola oil and killed a few people in Europe.

    So look for dates, California source and certicfication. The California Olive Oil Council (COOC) is currently the only organization in the United States that provides olive oil grade certification, showing a dedication to domestic industry growth and quality standards.

  3. Thank you for the up date on Olive oil. I really dislike the fact that "THEY" can sell us FAKE Olive Oil. It is a mess of lies out here in food land and we rely on safe food to consume.

  4. Dr. Berg, I am allergic to olives and vinegar. Also I have been taking Amlodipine, metoprolol and lisinopril for ten years or more. Recently I watched a video that said about 2 of these would not be good, as I'm trying to improve my health and lose ED. Rebuild my body's nitric oxide. I am trying to engage myself with your videos & recommendations. Can you address ways I can succeed with these objectives?
