Now that recreational marijuana is legal, can Ohioans bring product back from Michigan?

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The voter-approved recreational marijuana law that went into effect Thursday is largely silent on how Ohioans aged 21 and older are supposed to get supply, even if they are now allowed to legally posses it in small amounts.

The law, passed Nov. 7 by 57% of Ohio voters, gives the state up to nine months to write the regulations that will govern adult-use dispensaries. Ohioans can begin to grow their own marijuana (a maximum of six plants for an adult or 12 for a household if there’s more than one adult living there), but it will take months to grow and harvest.
