  1. Ms Boni, on your next video, please teach people on how to use the Tax Tim website to check their Net salary which also gives you a breakdown in the Tax that you will pay before you can negotiations your salary.

  2. Tjoooooo i hate all these deductions vhathu, why so much 😢😢😢prof gave me chest pains yerrrrrrrrr😢😢…. I jus saw ur video by chance and i subscribed already 😂😂😂😂im loving the content already…

  3. sorry to disappoint you. that prof must be in a clinical position, i.e. first studied medicine or dentistry. Non-clinical profs do not earn that much, but they are still working as much as clinical profs. Google Cost of employment (COE) ranges and costing information for permanent academic staff (2023) to see salary scales at UCT for a non-clinical prof. UCT pays the most, so profs at other SA universities earn much less, yet they must do the same amount of work

  4. Professors dont paid based hours becuase there is more than just 9-5, Professors write articles, supervise postgraduate students and some lecture in addition to that, but people need to know that ,a life of a professor is 95% research and 5 % lecturing compared to a lecturer who will cry about workload and only teaching 2 times a week which is 19 hour per week..

  5. Honestly Bonnie, the first 3 payslips are at Junior Lecturer level. Also, the higher your degree, the more you get. Masters and PhD earns you a lot more. Additionally, Professors at my University, on average, earn more than the Prof. does, even though he does earn well. I guess it does come down to negotiating as well, how many students you’ve graduated & other activities you’re engaged in.

  6. Well, the professor is also the director of a school in this regard, hence the extra R17000. So, he has extra managerial work as he may be supervising different departments. As such, he should be having very few hours of resting. Nevertheless, he is well compensated for such extras.

  7. Guys this the reason I’m studying further and most of my colleagues think I’m stupid

I was just thinking my colleagues are wasting their overtime money on take ways and clothes and I had to use all my over time pay for my schools fees 😂😂😂

Those are the sacrifices that need to be made for you to be able to get to where you want to me

  8. My wife is in this field and i can tell you private colleges pay absolute crap and public university pays alot better, but the work load they have and the schedule they have is ridiculous, but she enjoys it.

  9. 9:45 lol Professors dont sleep… I worked with them for close to 10 years, they send email ngo 3 ekseni🤣 and ask for feedback ngo 5 ekseni… by the time you start work at 8 already you have a manager asking you why haven’t you responded to Prof so and so😂😂😂😂

  10. On the question of hours per week, there are no fixed hours. When I was lecturing, basically, I was at the office from 07h00 to 16h00, but I would also work at night. You also have to supervise students, mark assignments and scripts, write papers for publication, attend training seminars, proposal defences, research dissemination, attend academic conferences, etc. If you are a professor, you also supervise masters and PhD students and be engaged in university administration.
